WISECARER is a digital, easy-to-use tool designed to support unpaid carers or people who look after family members and friends that have mental health concerns. People who have an unpaid caring role contribute an estimated $13.2 billion annually to Australia's healthcare system, yet many experience stress, burnout, and isolation due to inadequate support. According to the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research (QCMHR), Australia’s hidden workforce of unpaid carers saves the nation an estimated $13.2 billion each year.
The WISECARER website promotes early intervention by providing information, resources and connections to services that help people navigate their caring roles for individuals with mental health concerns.
